Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 13, 2026
Overview
Best Host Lab is a static informational website. We do not operate user accounts, membership areas, or contact forms. This policy explains the limited ways in which data may be collected or processed when you visit this site.
Data we collect
Server logs. Our web server automatically records standard access-log information for each request: the requesting IP address, the URL fetched, the HTTP status code returned, the referrer header (if sent by your browser), the user-agent string, and the timestamp. These logs are used to diagnose errors and monitor site health. We do not link them to individual identities.
No forms, no accounts. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personal information directly. There are no sign-up flows, no newsletter subscriptions, and no comment sections on this site.
Affiliate outbound redirects
When you click an affiliate link, your browser is redirected through
/go/
on this domain before reaching the hosting provider's website. The destination
provider's site may set cookies on your browser to track affiliate attribution and
to personalise the experience on their site. Those cookies are governed by the
destination provider's own privacy policy — not this one. We have no access to
them.
The outbound redirect itself is a server-side HTTP redirect. We log the fact that the redirect occurred (provider slug, timestamp) for affiliate reporting purposes, but we do not store your IP address alongside affiliate click records in a way that would identify you personally.
Cookies
First-party cookies. This site sets minimal first-party cookies only where technically necessary — for example, to persist a user-interface preference. We do not use first-party cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Third-party cookies. Third-party cookies are set by destination sites after you follow an outbound link. We do not embed third-party advertising scripts or social-media tracking pixels on this site.
Analytics
If and where first-party analytics are enabled on this site, they are used solely to understand aggregate traffic patterns (page views, referral sources, device types). Any such analytics are configured to respect Do Not Track signals and to avoid storing personally identifiable information.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with data-subject rights, you may have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, to request its deletion, or to object to its processing. Because we hold very little personal data by design, most requests will result in confirmation that nothing is held.
To exercise any of these rights, or to ask questions about this policy, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time frame required by applicable law.
Data minimization
Our design principle is to collect as little data as possible. We do not build user profiles, sell data to third parties, or use behavioural advertising networks. Server logs are retained only as long as necessary for operational and security purposes and are not shared with third parties except where required by law.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
